My favorite Mexican food restaurant so far in Alaska. One of the foods I’ve missed since moving up here. The food is always delicious and I love the salsa buffet.
Waitress was very patient with my kids and attentive. The food was amazing. They even let my kids meet the cook and thank him and give him a tip for the food.
Great food. Great service. Warm and inviting atmosphere. Best lengua tacos I have ever had. Grilled onion mushroom burger hits the spot. It may be the best burger in the entire Kenai/Soldotna area. Salsa bar is fresh and the salsas have great flavor. Portions were generous and more than sufficient. Chips, salsa and an entree... how much more food do we need? Front of house staff is friendly, back of house staff know their way around a grill! Thanks for two great meals now. You have loyal customers in us!
This place is wonderful Food was very tasty and the ingredients were fresh. The flavor was fantastic and the portion sizes were very large. There is also an amazing salsa bar. The vegetarian options were also abundant enough that vegetarians like me have things to choose from. Service was also fantastic. Emily was prompt, kind and professional. The ambiance was well done. Clean with nice decorations.
I am recovering from type 2 diabetes as a result of thyroid cancer and my blood sugar is still out of whack, this is moi importante as I had a crash while grocery shopping and stopped in. I immediately noticed the atmosphere is nice and it is both clean and calming in the restaurant. The staff were welcoming and very attentive when I explained I was having a crash and immediately served me an iced tea and food. I happen to adore trying authentic dishes which highlight the culture of Mexican and South American cuisine, and the lingua tacos are something I was familiar with and knew I would like, and I also enjoyed the tripe and bean soup (Menudo Rojo.) The meat in both dishes were fresh and very tender, and did not need much seasoning as it was done perfectly- the soup is easily in my top favorite dishes now! And their salsas were very good and definitely home-made. The spicy and smoky salsa was my favorite, and the team here definitely deserves praise.
My husband swears they are the most authentic Mexican place on the peninsula. All I can say is we've been there many times and I have never had a bad experience. The food was always amazing and the service top notch. Definitely a hidden gem. If you go try the Carne asada fries they're a favorite.
